Independent, senior-led and deliberately small — here is who actually shows up on your event day.
Before founding this studio, Margaret Zimmermann spent fourteen years in hotel banquet and catering operations across Anaheim and Costa Mesa, the last five as director of catering for a 700-room resort property. That background shapes how we work: we think in load-in windows, banquet event orders, staffing ratios and contingency plans, not just mood boards.
The studio opened with one client and a folding table. Thirteen years later we cap the calendar at forty events a year so that a senior planner is present at each one. We have turned down work that would have broken that rule, and we intend to keep doing so.
We are a woman-owned small business registered in California, fully insured with a $2,000,000 general liability policy, and we carry the certificates of insurance most Orange County venues require before load-in.
Flat planning fees, disclosed before you sign, plus a transparent production budget you control. We do not accept commissions, referral fees or rebates from vendors. If a vendor offers one, it is credited back to your budget — in writing.

We do not use unpaid interns or day-of subcontractors we have never worked with. Everyone below has been with the studio for at least three years.

Corporate Programs Lead
Multi-day conferences, registration, badging, executive travel and hospitality suites for teams of 50 to 1,200.
Client Services Manager
Budget workbooks, contracts, insurance certificates, permits and the answers to your emails between 9am and 6pm Pacific.
Lead Coordinator
On-site guest flow, vendor timing and the person quietly fixing the thing you never found out went wrong.
You receive a live budget workbook with every line item, every deposit date and every balance due. No markups are hidden inside vendor invoices, and every quote we source is passed through at cost.
Every event ships with a minute-by-minute run-of-show distributed to all vendors two weeks out. Improvisation is for the moments no plan covers, not for the ones it should have.
We build with Southern California florists, caterers, rental houses and fabricators we have paid on time for years. That is why they answer our calls in August and in December.
If a guest count does not fit a venue, if a budget cannot buy the design, or if a date is a bad idea, we tell you at the proposal stage — not three weeks out.
For venues, vendors and procurement teams that need the paperwork.
